President's Message

A Legacy of Leadership, A Future of Service

On behalf of the more than 500 members of the Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, I am delighted to welcome you to our website. Under our current administration, our focus is clear: we are Living our Legacy through every act of service and every bond of sisterhood.
Theta Omega holds a distinguished place in our sisterhood as the 8th graduate chapter ever founded and the first graduate chapter established in the Chicagoland community. For over 103 years, we have lived our legacy by serving as a pillar of strength and grace in this city, building a bridge from our historic past to a vibrant future.
We believe that a legacy is not just remembered; it is lived. Our commitment to the Chicagoland community is measurable and unwavering. Over the past five years alone, we have continued our tradition of excellence by: Investing in the Future: Raising over $250,000 for scholarships to support academic excellence. Nourishing our Neighbors: Donating more than 5,000 meals to students and residents experiencing housing insecurity.
Economic Empowerment: Investing in female-led, Black-owned businesses, generating over $2,000 in economic impact during the month of June alone.
This chapter holds a deeply personal place in my heart, representing a multi-generational commitment to our mission. As the 55th President, I have the profound honor of Living our Legacy by following in the footsteps of my mother, Ethel J. Collier, who served as our chapter’s 49th President. This continuity of leadership is the heartbeat of Theta Omega.
Whether you are a visiting Soror, a community partner, or a friend of the chapter, we invite you to engage with us as we move forward: Stay Informed: Explore our [Calendar of Events] to see our service in action. Join the Journey: Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see how we are Living our Legacy every day.
Thank you for visiting. Together, we continue to lead, to serve, and to ensure that the legacy of Theta Omega remains a living force for good in the city we call home.

With Sisterly Love and Service, Kimberly B. Collier 55th President Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Theta Omega Chapter
