● Sponsored a parenting conference for parents of elementary school children.
● Observed the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday with music, speech, and dramatic presentations by and for children.
● Participated in public art events such as the Thomas A. Dorsey Gospel Fest, Cultural Collage exhibit in Daley Plaza and the development of the first city-wide cultural plan.
